Cameco Australia Pty Ltd, the Australian subsidiary of the large Canadian integrated nuclear energy company, Cameco Corporation. Cameco is involved in two Australian joint ventures =- with Mitsubishi Development Ltd at the large Kintyre deposit in Western Australia and with Paladin Energy at the Angela Pamela deposit near Alice Springs in the Northern Territory.
Mega Uranium Ltd is a Canadian-owned company which is partnered with Japanese companies in the development of the Lake Maitland project in the East Goldfields region of Western Australia.
Mitsubishi Development Pty Ltd is the Australian off-shoot of the large Japanese conglomerate. It is partnered with Cameco Australia in the large Kintyre project in Western Australia.
Paladin Energy Ltd is a large, ASX-listed uranium explorer and miner with significant operations in Africa and with prospects and joint ventures in Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Queensland.
Summit Resources is an ASX listed corporation focussed on uranium exploration and mine development in the Mt Isa region of northwest Queensland.
Toro Energy is an ASX-listed exploration and mine development company with interests in Western Australia and the Northern Territory and in Namibia, Africa.
UraniumOne Australia Pty Ltd is a Canadian owned company that is developing the Honeymoon project in South Australia in partnership with the energy offshoot of large Japanese trading house, Mitsui Limited. Honeymoon is expected to begin production in 2010.
